the project...

...i stumbled across the idea of a 101 in 1001 project a few weeks ago, and couldn't get the idea out of my head. the concept of identifying 101 things, projects, adventures, or challenges to complete, or attempt to complete in 1001 days - just about 3 years. it made me think about what i'd like to accomplish in the next three years - personally, creatively, spiritually, in my relationships, professionally, financially...

so i started jotting down a list - in no particularly order. and i continued to write things down - on small scraps of paper, or the back of a grocery list. i paperclipped these together, and when i noticed just how many i'd thought of, and how much fun it was to think of these ideas, i decided it was something i'd try.

i had fun browsing around other 101 in 1001 lists (check out the one's in my sidebar, if you're curious)... the range of things on different individual's lists was striking. a true reflection of where on life's journey each individual is. i'm sure if i were to make a 101 in 1001 in 25 years, when i'm not in the midst of raising children, it would look markedly different than it does now. and i'd like to think that many of the things i would have put on a list from a few years ago i've accomplished.

my list is reflective of just some of what i'd like to accomplish - of where i'd like to be in just about 3 years. who knows if i'll get to everything, or even half of the things, on my list. but it'll sure be fun to try.
